For a number of years, I was fortunate enough to work as a community manager for 2 tech startups in Boston. Both organizations saw community and their users as a valuable asset to the success of their business.

In 2012, as a side project, I created BostonCMGR, which was “Boston’s Community of Community.” We held small monthly meet-ups and larger quarterly events.

To say I love, appreciate the hard work, effort and value of community management is an understatement. Developing and maintaining a community is hard work and is becoming more and more important in todays business world. 

Over the years I’ve bookmarked, pinned, saved, pocket’ed(?), read and watched countless hours of community management related information. There’s tons of really great thinking happening in the space and I wanted to take a moment to share some of my personal favorites.
